Govt. of India has launched the Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) which emphasises on significance of circularity in economy, and the philosophy of 'Reduce, Reuse and Recycle' in achieving it. Hon. Prime Minister of India has often mentioned that circularity in economy has been a part of the lifestyle of Indians for thousands of years.
India, a resource-intensive economy with a large and rapidly growing population, possesses immense potential to be a leader in the circular economy, thereby fostering sustainable growth and a more prosperous and equitable society. The circular economy goes beyond resource efficiency and recycling, and its adoption helps reduce waste, conserve resources, and mitigate climate change. Moving toward a circular economy helps meet India’s NDC targets, UNSDGs, LiFE goals etc.
Not only this, the recent G20 declaration highlights its critical role, leading to the formation of Resource Efficiency and Circular Economy Industry Coalition (RECEIC).
Building a global tech partnership for a future-ready sustainable environment is a multifaceted endeavour that requires collaboration across sectors and borders. By aligning technology with sustainability goals, the world can create a resilient, equitable, and environmentally sound future.
With this background, CII has planned the 9th edition of International Conference on Waste to Worth Technologies with the theme of “Enabling & Building Global Tech-Partnerships for Future Ready $ Sustainable growth Environs along with Circular economies” on 30 November 2024 at Le Meridien, New Delhi
