Read More 04As the volume of waste increases with a growing population and industrialization, India is faced with a massive challenge of managing this waste effectively. The Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, launched by the Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi in 2014, is aimed at eradicating this growing menace. In alignment with this Mission, in 2018, the PM’s Science, Technology and Innovation Advisory Council identified Waste-to-Wealth as a priority area.
Given the urgent need to focus on the subject and realizing the economic potential which could be generated from waste, CII has convened a working task force to encourage waste management practices and private sector participation across the country. The task force works closely with industry, government, research and academia as a partner.
