While management of waste is a major challenge for urban India, it is also one of the sustainable energy generation resources and has the potential to improve the economy of the country. Given the urgent need to focus on the subject and realizing the economic potential which could be generated from waste, CII has constituted a Task Force on Waste to Worth.
The task force has been working towards encouraging the policy and best practices of waste management across the industry, recognizing the exemplary work of India industry through CII 4R Awards, bringing together Indian industry, technology providers, investors and waste management companies, and developing a PPP model to demonstrate the end-to-end solution for Waste Management.
